#82 – Cadborough Hill Dragonfly

The weather seemed to clear this afternoon, and for a while the sun came out and the clouds looked pretty atmospheric so I thought I would take advantage of it and take a late lunch-time walk. Cadborough Hill is located just south of Overseal, and at the foot of the Hill is a small lake. It’s a lovely walk through the area, but I stopped at the lake to take some HDR shots whilst the clouds were moody. However whilst there, there were a number of dragonflys around, and this one posed for me for a while. While I was there, I also managed to snap 3 buzzards (well, I think that they were buzzards) flying around over the woods, which was a great view. I didn’t manage very many shots of the buzzards though, which was a shame.

Anyone, shot of the day for me was the dragonfly, but I will insert the others from the set as well.

#73 – One Last Memory of Falesia Beach

It’s been a busy day today with the kids (not quite made it back to work yet!) so I haven’t had much chance to take any shots. I’ve spent an age processing the photos from the holiday. So as a blatant cop-out I’ll post my final HDR shot of Falesia Beach in Portugal. Normal service should be resumed soon!

#72 – Remembering Falesia Beach

Just one day back from Portugal and I am already reminiscing of the past week. High up on list of things to do, along with 20 loads of washing is sorting the photos out from last week. Before I sift through the hundreds of the kids jumping in the pool, I had a few HDR shots to process of cliffs at Falesia beach. This is one of them looking up the cliff edge, and the tree growing over the side.

#63 – Harvest time (Part 2)

I had to return to the harvest field today following Guy’s comments on my last harvest HDR shot. Guy suggested that it might look better in colour instead of monochrome. Unfortunately I had removed the original shots, so I needed to go back and take some more shots. The clouds today were a little more ‘looming’ so I think that this makes a good shot. Again this is an HDR shot, tweaked in Topaz. I also did the same shot, but as monochrome as well. I am still to make up my mind – colour or monochrome. What do you think?
